I am so thrilled to be premiering my new solo at the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival this year! A butoh reimagining of the tragic character Ophelia from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, weedy trophies tells the tale of her demise and turns it on its head. An avant-garde exploration of themes such as vulnerability, contradiction, strength, approval, value and loss of self, this solo dance performance investigates Ophelia from an experimental point of view. At the Mothlight 1/27 & 28, 9pm as part of the Fringe Feature “Sexy, Weedy, Reality Show.” I will be sharing the stage with Mystery Meat and Grayson Morris!
